This page is dedicated to Dock Safety and Requirements within the Osage Beach Fire Protection District. Dock Safety is everybody’s responsibility, make sure you inspect your docks regularly.

When are you as a dock owner required to have your Dock Inspected by the Fire District?
- All new docks are required to be built to current code standards
- Any addition to a existing dock is required to have the dock brought up to current code standards
- Any electrical upgrades requires the dock to be brought up to current code standards
- Any used dock being moved from one permitted location to another requires the dock to be brought up to current code standards.
Effective September 1, 2013 the following will be an additional requirement:
Any dock* of a private residence as defined in section R101.2 of 2012 International Residential Code and section(s) 553 or 554 of 2011 National Electrical Code and the current adopted electrical ordinance of the Osage Beach Fire Protection District that has a transfer of ownership.
*Excluding docks that are part of a Association
